Ruby Samba is a singer living in Cardiff, with an impressive list of venues she has performed at including Glastonbury.

The site is a single page design with sliding navigation. Including a lightbox gallery and HTML5 music player.

Coffee Shop

Coffee Shop is a mock client I used to try making a wordpress website for my individual media project at University.

This was interesting as it was my first time dealing with PHP, but by the end of the task I felt more at home with Wordpress.

Dillinger.me v1

This is the first version of Dillinger.me, which had a lot of love and time put into it to get it off the ground and was a great learning experience

Also retro fitted a blog onto it and put it into wordpress for the fun of it!

Mario Ellis

This was a University assignment to create a facebook application. The main content of the app is a Flash website that pulls in all of it's information externally to decrease loading times.

I had to put in 6 facebook functions to get the marks, that explains the overkill of features.

Reverse 3D Shatter

We were given a brief of create an abstract piece of work using 3Ds Max and Adobe After Effects.

This was my take on the brief, with using the nVidia physx engine along with the rayfire plugin to simulate an explosion. The floating particles were then added in the composition along with the colour correction, optical flare and motion blur.

About Me

I do the new media tango

I'm Dexter, a new media enthusiast based in Cardiff. I'm currently a student at the University of Glamorgan where I'm Studying for a BSc in Creative Technology. I'm originally from Coventry where my love for new media began and where I gained a triple distinction in Multimedia. I am a certified computer geek and you can pretty much guarantee that if needed I'll be sitting at my PC learning or gaming. However when I'm not on the PC I also enjoy films, music, design and making things from fibreglass masks to poker chips and everything in between.

Recently did a year as a Front-end Developer with Sequence, and always up for freelance work, so feel free to contact me!
